Drive path confusion

I recently changed the following paths from C:\Temp\Download\incomplete, C:\Temp\Downloads(processed files) and my Recycle path from C:\Temp\ND.

All I did was change the paths from C to E and made sure that Sab and Sonarr paths match. The weird thing is that some shows are still being copied to my C:\Temp\ND folder and some are copying to E:\Temp\ND. The same thing is happening with the C:\Temp\Downloads(processed files).

Any idea why this would be happening?

We’ll need the following information:

Sonarr version (exact version):
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):
OS:
((Debug logs)):
(Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings and post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar, do not post them directly here)
Description of issue:

The first two paths sound like paths for your download client, the Recycle path would only ever copy to one location, there is nothing in Sonarr that could reference the old path after it was changed.

I will post it in a bit, and yes it is copying in 2 locations for some reason. I am not going crazy. It happened yesterday so I put it back the way it was. I then decided to try it again today and the same thing happened.

Look at paths in the following images:

Here is the link to the debug log file.

Thanks

The first screenshot could be either a folder for a completed download or the recycling bin, but that’s B:\ which you don’t even mention.
The 2nd screenshot looks like a completed download folder, not something Sonarr would create.

16-9-21 17:16:03.2|Debug|DiskScanService|Scanning 'E:\Temp\Downloads\' for video files

Looks like Drone Factory is set to that folder.

16-9-21 17:16:06.7|Debug|RecycleBinProvider|File has been moved to the recycling bin: E:\Temp\ND\Mom.S03E15.Cornflakes.and.the.Hair.of.Three.Men.1080p.HDTV.mkv

That’s the old file being moved to the recycle bin.

The B drive is C:\Temp\ND and the E: drive you’re seeing in the image is actually C:\Temp\Downloads\

I think I am making this more difficult for you to understand. I should not have taken the screenshot from my upstairs PC.

Let me see if I can explain it again.

On the machine I have Sonarr and Sab setup on was like this:

C:\Temp\Downloads\incomplete\ <-sab dowloads folder before it moves it to C:\Temp\Downloads
C:\Temp\Downloads <- completed downloads
C:\Temp\ND\ <- recycle bin

Everything above has been changed to E:\ but some, not all the downloads are ending up in C:\Temp\Downloads and some recycle folder files are ending up in C:\Temp\ND.

I am looking at it right now. Theses files Mom S03 1080p WEB-DL DD+ 5.1 x264-TrollHD are in my C:\Temp\Downloads folder, and all my previous HDTV1080p files are in my E:\Temp\ND which is the recycle folder.

Hope you understand better now.

This screenshot is from the actual PC Sonarr is on. The downloads should not be in there anymore.

Yeah, that added to it because the paths were different.

That sounds like a SABnzbd issue.

Are they actually newly deleted or are they from before the path was changed in Sonarr? The logs don’t show anything going to C:\Temp\ND.

They are newly deleted. Correct, nothing showing in the logs. Seems like I always have some weird issue. lol

I guess I am better off just buying a larger HD and reinstalling everything from scratch.

I think I may have found the issue. It appears that the sabnzbd.ini file is not being updated from the UI. Still doesn’t explain why the recycle files end up in the different paths. Anyway, that’s for the help. Much appreciated.
