Downloading unwanted old episodes

Hi all, I have found a few topics on this but they just confused me more than anything as I’m not sure if it was exactly what I was after.

I have moved from Sickbeard to Sonarr and so far I’m loving it. The only bit I dont love is having it randomly download a whole season of something from 3 years ago when I dont want it.

Now I understand that when you add a series you can select “future” monitoring. Does this only grab future episodes or if someone uploads an old season tomorrow, will it grab that too?

Second question, is there a way that I can select ALL series to change them to this setting at the same time? The only thing I have found so far is the series editor where I can change them all to ‘monitored, unmonitored or no change’.
The only way I have around this is to delete a series and re-add it with the “future” monitored option, but this will get old quick doing it for every series.

UPDATE: I have found the “season pass” feature, which seems to be what I was looking for. It only raises another question though - When you click “Latest Season Only” it doesn’t highlight it or anything along those lines, it just creates a border around it for a few seconds and it disappears. Does this mean it is done? It’s not very clear, unlike the rest of Sonarr. I thought it might highlight your selection in green or something so as you go down the list it is clear what you have done or haven’t?

Oh well, here’s hoping, can’t have another one of the missus’ shows download all previous seasons and use up our data for the month :stuck_out_tongue:
