Downloading too many copies/Missing the Recycle Bin

I apologize in advance if this was covered elsewhere. I search but was unable to find my specific issue.

Here we go

First, I am having trouble directing Sonarr to my recycle bin. I have it set to c:$recycle.bin. To my understanding, that was the path to the recycle bin. I have Show System Files and Hidden files enabled, the Recycle doesn’t populate in the drop down so I manually entered it. Well, that was a mistake. hdd filled up and couldnt figure out why. Then I found the folder that Sonarr generated called C:$Recycle.Bin which does not follow my rules for purging like the actual recycle bin. So my first question is, what am I missing, why cant I point it to the recycle bin properly.

Second question
Sonarr seems to be downloading many many copies of shows all of the sudden. In the C:$Recycle.Bin folder I found 22 copies of Sunday’s Walking dead, all with -1, -2, -3 added./ Exact file, exact size. Why so many? I haven’t altered any of my setting recently. I have everything set to prefer 720p, as to keep my media playing nicely with Plex and XB1.

I apologize again if either of these have been addressed elsewhere and thank you for reading!

Its a non-trivial thing to support Windows recycling bin, we opted to keep things simple and not implement it, at the moment we’rte not revisiting this decision, but we may again in the future.

((Debug logs)) should give an indication why its redownloading the same file multiple times, under normal conditions it shouldn’t.
