Downloading same episodes

Sonarr 2.0.0.4949
Windows 10 desktop
I just turned Debug Logging on now

After watching a downloaded tv episode, I delete the file and folder. The following day the same episode will download again. Both Sonarr and NZBGet are on the same computer. I can post the Debug Log at a later date since I just turned it on now, but in the meantime is there something I can check ?

All episodes are moved to D:\tv shows & each episode creates it’s own sub-folder which I remove after watching. Does deleting the file or folder trigger it to be downloaded again and again ?
All episodes are set to "future"
I have only been using Sonarr for a few days, so I’m a noob.
I read the other thread with the same title but it didn’t help.

That applies when the series is added, if it applied after the series was added you’d never see an episode download unless it was released before the episode aired.

Enable Automatically Ignore Deleted Episodes and Sonarr won’t redownload an episode after it’s been deleted (and Sonarr detects it’s been deleted).

I completely missed that one setting (Ignore Deleted Episodes). I’m guessing I didn’t scroll down the page far enough to notice it.

Thanks again !

I woke up this morning and turned on my computer. It downloaded that same episode again from 3 days ago. I changed the setting “Ignore Deleted Episodes” yesterday. Does that setting trigger when it sees an episode being deleted because I deleted it before turning on that setting ?

I wonder why a successfully downloaded file does not automatically toggle the monitored status. I had to manually toggle it off now for this episode that I watched 3 days ago.

It applies when the episode is detected as deleted, since you deleted it before the setting and Sonarr would have seen it deleted it did not apply.

Check Wanted: Missing for any other files you’ve deleted recently before that setting was enabled.

That’s good news. I was getting tired of seeing the same episode download over and over. I’m starting to get a feel for all the settings and operation of Sonarr, which is a great program. I made a donation to help with development.

Thanks for all your help
