Downloaded torrent removed without being processed

Hi,
I just realised something with the Transmission downloader.
If i download a torrent from sonarr, sometimes the torrent files disappear without being processed.

The line below is the only line i could find in the log where i see the torrent before it disappears.

On thing i can say is that i think all those torrents are rared files.

Now i tried to manually download the torrents in a directory not processed by sonarr. The torrent remains there after seeding
I can still see them in the sonarr log

Actually i am not sure this is the source of my problem
I realised that i was using Completed Download Handling and so Sonarr should be finding the completed torrent even if the “category path” is not what i expected.

@markus101 can you confirm? If so i will close that thread and open another one cause it seems that i have another problem (sonarr removing downloaded torrent without processsing when rared files).

The period is intentional, not sure of the full back story as to why, but I know its intentional.

For the other issue, if the download is completed (no longer seeding) and nothing is imported we shouldn’t be removing it, debug logs showing the processing would be very helpful.

@markus101 i renamed and edited the thread to explain my problem.

Now about showing logs i can’t find any log related to the processing of those files :s
Will start it again to see if i find anything

Ok so finally got the corresponding log where sonarr deletes the torrent files without processing.
Hereis the corresponding torrent
It feels like sonarr ignored the rar files, which seems normal as they are not named correctly.
But while seeing the sample file to ignore it deleted the whole directory.
If not actually processed the directory should not be cleared

@kayone This is similar to the “entire series was deleted without importing issue” we talked about a bit yesterday. Don’t think you looked into it yet, but given the logs here we know what it was doing.

Wanted to see if this was still an issue, there have been a number of changes in this area and this may already be fixed.

@markus101 it still doesnt seem to be working. I tried with the same torrent and the file doesn’t get moved after completion. It gets removed the same way.

Which version of Sonarr are you running? I’m attempting to reproduce this with the same torrent ([ www.Speed.cd ] -Live.Free.or.Die.S01E09.Down.the.Rabbit.Hole.720p.HDTV.x264-DHD) and its removing it before it imports anything.

@markus101 i am currently on 2.0.0.2622. (i think i was too when i pushed a log. Maybe a 2 days older version :s)
But if you say it s removing it before importing it isn’t the same error? Cause for that s what happening as it sees rar files and a sample file.
Or may be you mean Transmission is removing it?

I downloaded the sample file an a couple other files in the release (not the full 1.8GB). Then paused it in Transmission (unless there is a stopped status I missed) and Sonarr tells me it is unable to import the one file (because its a sample), but its still in Transmission.

@markus101 Ok here is what happens here:

Start the torrent in transmission
the torrent starts seeding and so gets marked as completed
In my transmission config the torrent automatically stops after some seeding, but remains in the list!
Sonarr sees the completion
Sonarr removes the files (and the dir) seeing only a sample and rar files
the torrent is still in transmission with no files on disk!

Okay, found it, transmission sucks a bit because I was forced to download the whole torrent AND seed back 50% before I could reproduce it.

Pushed a fix, should be available in the morning.
