Does NZBDrone sort series correct?

Hello

I’ve previously been using SickBeard for handling my series. Renaming, moving, sorting, managing etc. It works fine except for one thing…
SickBeard sort files after when they’re produced, not aired - or something like that. It get it’s information from TVDB.

This have the unfortunate downside of episodes being named wrong. Missing episodes. Episodes being overwritten etc.

So my question is:
Does nzbdrone work at sorting and renaming series like: Family Guy, Archer, Futurama?

Thanks in advance
Naggert

Hey, drone uses thexem.de to map files: https://github.com/NzbDrone/NzbDrone/wiki/FAQ#how-does-nzbdrone-handle-scene-numbering-issues-american-dad-etc

thexem.de? Yay, thanks a lot. That was exactly what I was hoping for.

Then this is definitely the better solution. I’ll be changing my setup to nzbdrone.
Thank you

Drone will rename them to use tvdb numbering on disk, which gives the best compatibility with XBMC, Plex and other media players. It also shows the episode info in the UI with tvdb numbering, but will translate when searching and importing, automatically.

Hm. I have installed nzbdrone locally on my Plex server.
Seems the renaming is working… Well… Kinda…

nzbdrone is having difficulties updating folders.
Like, I scanned and renamed ALL archer files.
Seasons got renamed from season01 to season1 and now it seems like nzbdrone can’t find / update the folders.

It only renames some shows… Seems kinda funky

Like here.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1486217/episodes?season=3&ref_=ttep_ep_sn_nx

Drone only lists 10 episodes in season 3. But I have 13…

But there are only 10 episodes, as per thetvdb: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=110381&seasonid=465786

Hm, it might turn out the reason I had 13 files in season 3, was SB renaming / copies some files around wrongly.
Anyway, I ended up restoring the files from backup and started over with Droid.

Once they were numbered wrong neither program could handle the files correctly.

EDIT:
Sometimes I wan’t to use the physical medias again, it’s easier not to mess up!
