Disabling Upgrading

Is there a way to disable upgrading?

My library has the quality I want, but when I imported into Sonarr, it thinks I have some other quality. Well this doesn’t match the quality I have specified in my profile cut off, which means it’s going to try and redownload it. (I only request one quality type, I don’t want any other type downloaded ever, so I can’t add another to the list and risk losing ratio)

I need to turn off the auto upgrading. Sonarr is downloading the quality I want, I’ve downloaded in the past, the quality I want. I don’t want to spend extra time redownloading and encoding the same stuff I already have.

I also don’t want to have to go through each and every movie/series file to change the specified quality, and the series editor doesn’t have the ability to do that in bulk.

This is also an issue for Radarr as well.

TL:DR, need to disable automatic upgrading. How?

You can do it at the series or season level in addition to a single episode.

Unmonitor the episodes, use season pass to do it in bulk.

I get it now, monitored episodes and movies will be continually upgraded where needed… So I’ll unmonitor the stuff I add then. Thank you
