Directory Path

I would like to know if the following is possible.

I have NzbDrone setup on 1 PC which has SabNzb on it as well, in this configuration it sees all my directory paths. For example it sees X:, Y: and Z: but I also created a folder on a different PC which is also shared, but when I go to drone’s configuration to add the path I don’t see it.

Is this because it has to be on the same PC that drone is setup on? I tried using \\PC4\TV4 but that doesn’t work. I am sure it can’t be done, but I just want to make sure.

Thanks

Works no problems at all. As an example say I have a another pc that is called XBMC-PC and a folder on there called temp I just add the folder in drone as \\XBMC-PC\temp (there is also an extra \ in front but the post does not show it)

Well, this does not work for me at all.

I keep trying this with no success. If it works for you then it should for me as well.

Possibly a permissions thing ?? , I grab the name by using file explorer and right clicking on the bar up the top and copy address to text then copying this into drone.

It won’t be a permissions issue. I am admin with same credentials across the network. I get this error in drone:

6/30/2013 7:06:07 AM Fatal Web.Filters.JsonErrorFilter /addseries/saverootdir: Can’t add root directory that doesn’t exist.

No clue why this wouldn’t work.

Yeah its not seeing it for some reason , Sorry can’t think of anything else at the moment.

Is NzbDrone running as a service? If so it wouldn’t be using the same user account (by default), but you can change the account it runs under in the Windows Services control panel.

It is running as a service but it should be running as the same user because I am using the same credentials across my network. I am a bit lost as to what you mean here.

I figured it out. Thanks guys.

@shedrock - glad you got it sorted.

Services can run under the context of many users, but its not usually the user you log into windows with, often its a system account or an account dedicated to running that particular service.

I am new to this program and I am having the same problem. How did you fix it?
