Develop: Updates deleting old version but not replacing with new [resolved]

Hi guys,

I’m testing the anime functionality, so I’m on the develop build - Ubuntu 14.04, Mono 3.2.8. Automatic updates were previously working without an issue, but for the most recent 2 or 3, it’s shutting down Drone, removing the old version, but not replacing it with the new.

I tailed the log file, but all it shows is the update process being successful, then an exception as it can’t find NzbDrone.exe. If I take a look in /opt/NzbDrone, it’s empty. Not 100% sure if it’s an issue my side or not, but being that updates were previously fine… happy to provide any information that might assist, in case it is a bug. Also happy to persist with manual updates as obviously I’m on the develop branch, and this should be expected

Cheers

BQ

Which log file did you look at the update log or nzbdrone.log? Could you pastebin the full update log?

Update wise nothing has changed recently.

How do you have drone running? Upstart?

Drone running via upstart, was tailing the nzbdrone.log, didn’t realise there was an update log. I’ll check the update log, will pastebin it if I don’t immediately see that I’m an idiot

Nothing to see here - during one of the manual updates, I must have neglected to chown to the nzbdrone user. Sorry! I blame lack of coffee
