I would like to see an option under the drone folder to delete an episode if it is “Not an upgrade for existing episode file(s)”
as there is no point in keeping the files

The life expectancy for Drone Factory is not very long and will almost certainly be removed in v3. We don’t plan to make changes to its behaviour before then.
That is disappointing to hear as it make up part of how I have configured sonarr to run for me
It will still be available via the API as will the blackhole clients, just dropping support for legacy configurations that rely on it.
Is it really being removed? I use CDH for nzbget and deluge but the drone factory is important for deluge for the extractor plugin. I have deluge setup to auto extract to the drone factory folder which works well so far, and if the download isnt archived CDH takes over.
It’s also important to people who use software to sync from a seedbox to the drone factory folder.
This is prone to issues though, if the file is partially extracted Drone Factory will happily import a partial file and could be mitigated by Sonarr supporting RAR extraction.
CDH can be used when a remote share is mounted, sshfs being one way, but others use web drive I believe, again its possible to mitigate this by providing additional ways to transfer files.
Using extract and move scripts in download clients is also possible to use CDH with remote path in conjuction with syncthing, and btsync probably (I personally use syncthing)
Yeah Sonarr supporting rar extraction would definitely solve this issue.
