When I use sonarr to delete old files, I’d love it if there was at least a check box to delete the season folder also. 
Makes sense to remove it if its empty, having an option seems like a waste of effort for us to add and for someone to check (or uncheck if they are the 0.1% that don’t want it).
Works. I’m a big fan of configurable options is all.
