I have been having issues with failed downloads using a specific indexers.
I have a delay profile and a minimum age set in the sonarr configuration but I’m still getting failures in SAB and incomplete file sizes on some grabs.
I have attached a screenshot of my sonarr configuration this configuration seems to work flawlessly for one of my indexers but for another one I always seem to get failures.
Since I only use usenets I wonder if the issue lies in the minimum age not being high enough to allow for this specific indexer to popular the shows in time but I would think that 10 minutes is enough?
Probably not, even at 30 minutes you can still see them, depends entirely on propagation. For dealing with Propagation you want to use Minimum Age not a delay profile (in this case both are 10 minutes and don’t add anything.
Propagation is about how long your usenet server takes to get newly posted content from other providers. Indexers use different providers, so if your indexer’s provider gets content fast, but your provider takes 30 minutes to get the same content then you need to delay 30 minutes (or more) to make sure your provider has time to get the files.
There isn’t going to be a magic number for minimum age that is going to work for everyone, it will depend on the provider being used as well the indexers (and their providers).
I think what’s happening is exactly what you mentioned the indexer that I’m using is posted content really quickly but my usenet provided doesn’t have the content yet.
Is it possible to get on the same provider the usenet uses so they would be in sync?
