I figured this may be a more appropriate spot then in the Scene naming discussion. My issue is that the show does not get processed. It will process seasons 1, 2 and 3 but those aren’t correct. The scene is at season 5 currently, so as it stands my season 4 and 5 episodes are just sitting there not being processed and the older seasons are being (inappropriately) sorted as if they are the episodes in the list when they are actually a earlier episode but the naming matches the trakt information.
I hope that makes sense, I can elaborate if needed. Sorry if it was a little ramblish, I’m just keen to get this sorted.
It’s messed up on thetvdb (empty s4 for example and dupes in s5). Someone must’ve erroneously edited it again.
Looks to me like you need a thexem mapping. And a correction on thetvdb.
Since you’re keen to get it sorted, i’m sure your willing to investigate a little.
Thetvdb is really strict when it comes to episodes and seasons, they only accept season assignments as the original channel indicated (official sources, tvrage is not official)

So:
step 1, find out what the correct order is.
step 2, ensure thetvdb reflects the official order, probably first post on the forums there to ensure they agree.
step 3, find out how that matches with tvrage/scene.
step 4, request a scene mapping for the dead files on thexem.
But step 1 & 2 is paramount.
for step 2 you have to talk on the tvdb forums, that way, if everyone agrees they can lock those old season in place preventing anyone from messing them up again.
And before you ask, thexem is a website that maps between scene and tvdb listings, drone uses it to identify and rename files properly.
Yeah this is odd as it was working on Sickrage (echel0n’s SickBeard fork). It seems that thread has died. I did make a XEM mapping of this show some time ago and it was approved, it seems it has disappeared into the aether. Oh well, it’s simply too much time to make this show work with sorting. I cannot believe I didn’t check the TVDB before posting here and wasting your time like it was NZBDrone’s fault. I appreciate the reply Taloth!
The thread didn’t die, they thought everything was fine now. All I was saying that you should verify it, coz you don’t want the stuff to change over and over again.
S1-S3 seems ok atm, but needs a lock.
S5 is plain wrong, but needs to have the new episodes for the upcoming season.

It probably got deleted coz at the end of 2013 someone probably changed tvdb to be like scene. Obviously that got fixed back again in february this year.
This is actually exactly the kind of investigating I meant.
Every time someone says ‘too much time’ an internet puppy dies.
Coz it means every other user will run into the same issue.
Anyway, I’ve said what needs to be done, I don’t watch that show so…
