I was just filing away items when I noticed Criminal.Minds.S17E10.XviD-AFG.mkv.lnk in my torrent folder, so I check qBittorrent and sure enough it had been grabbed by Sonarr and passed to QBT. I would of though that Sonarr would automatically filter out common items like this.
Sonarr doesn’t know the contents of downloads before they’re actually downloaded.
If your indexer returned an obvious fake in their RSS feed or search results, you’ll have to take it up with them.
You can set minimum size in sonarr to 50mb for example to filter out the most obvious crap like this.
In this case I think I’ll have to take a look at the filter settings and see if I can set Sonarr up to ignore .ink files cause the downloaded file was 380 megs.
