Sometimes I have to download tv shows manually with uTorrent when nzbdrone doesnt grab them.
Before I used the Drone Factory folder, I just drag and dropped the files I downloaded into the specified folder and NZBDrone would move and rename them for me.
Now that I use “Completed Download Handling” I can’t do this anymore, can I? How would I set it up?
I’m not 100% sure what the difference is, but from what I understand with “Completed Download Handling” when sabnzbd finishes downloading NZBDrone knows and moves/renames. So the only way it knows is if its in the completed list
… but if I download the file with uTorrent how do I get NZBDrone to know its there and do something with the file?
I was going to say the same as @markus101 i still have my drone factory folder and i point my torrent downloads (shows only obviously) to go to that folder now you can set the scan interval on there and leave it but what i did is simply turn it off then when i have stuff i just go to the wanted page and manually trigger the folder scan when i have files in there.
both work fine just make sure with torrents you have them named appropriately so nzbdrone can find them sometimes torrents get renamed by the uploader / seeder and they don’t get detected a general rule of thumb that works for me is
show.name.s01e01 this seems to work for me 99.9% of the time
I’m going to say the same, configure the drone factory for the uTorrent downloads.
But please note that we’re actually working on torrent support, on a branch we got it working, so direct integration between Completed Download Handling and uTorrent is coming.
Until then, use Completed Download Handling for Sab, and DroneFactory for uTorrent.
