I like the idea of the new completed download handling option. Please tell me if how I set it up is correct:
Sabnzbd:
– Turn off all sorting functionality.
– Change completed directory to one not monitored by Drone Factory (C:\Completed)
NzbDrone:
– Use Drone Factory folder (C:\DroneFactory)
– Tell NzbDrone to use new category from Sab.
– Enable Completed Download Handling.
My issue is any download that initially fails the repair process (i.e. from Sabnzbd it starts repairing and goes back into the download to finish) NzbDrone sees it completed at 100% but does not initiate a move or transfer. I also have episode renaming enabled on NzbDrone (could this be an issue). It seems to work for downloads that don’t fail at all during download and unpacking, but those that fail (anything that makes it go from Queue to History and back to Queue breaks. Is there something I can do to test why it is doing this or have I setup this feature wrong? Any help is appreciated, thank you.
drone is losing track of the failed downloads because the ID is changing, it relies on the ID in SAB matching the one drone got back from SAB when the file was added to SAB.
Thanks for the info, we’ll have to investigate further and determine how to resolve it.
Actually, that shouldn’t be an issue. Drone will pickup unknown downloads if they are in the correct category.
Never actually got to test the ‘repair’ scenario, so you could be right, but lets first checkout the more likely cause.
Drone uses a couple of rules to determine if it wants to import something. Things like quality vs the existing one. It actually also parses the file/directory name and will cry foul if it doesn’t parse to anything he understands. Pretty much the same deal as the drone factory, actually.
If it’s stuck at 100%, drone probably figured out it couldn’t import, but it will try over and over again.
You’ll have to look in the log why it decides not to import. Probably the quickest is to enable trace log, wait a minute, then look in the log for the rejection reason.
I enabled trace and did what you said. There is no log event or error. The download finishes in SAB (after starting/restarting repair a couple times) so going from download -> history -> downloads -> history. I opened the folder it downloaded to and see no file. It looks like Drone is moving the file, but somewhere else other than my folder. And the download progress bar sit’s at 100% in drone.
