Change file date and quality profile

A couple of questions:

1.) What does “Change File Date” do and when is it really used?

2.) In the default “HD - All” quality profile, the cutoff is HDTV - 720p. If I want to modify that profile so that it will not stop downloading episodes until it finds the best quality, should I change the cutoff to BluRay - 1080p? I’m not sure if I understand how cutoff works.

It sets the file’s creation date to the release date of the episode instead of to whenever you downloaded it.

Yes. Cutoff marks after which quality Drone stops looking for better releases.
