Certain Shows can't Scan. Dev-Request

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5228
OS: Windows 10
Debug logs:Not sure if it’s needed?
Description of issue: Having issues with two shows.

FLCL an anime is querying weird. It’s second “season” is called FLCL: Progressive and restarts the numbering at 1. When Sonarr looks for it, it goes by absolute numbering and season. So it looks for FLCL Season 2 episode 7 instead of FLCL: Progressive Episode 1.

Kamen Rider is a live action Japanese weekly Tokusatsu or “Special Effects” Show in the vein of Power Rangers or Ultra Man. It needs to be registered as an “Anime” so Sonarr will ping Nyaa for the show and for Thexem’s alternate “season” names (Blade, Hibiki, W, OOO) to be considered for query.

The issue is that Sonarr looks for “Absolute Numbers” for anime and this show does not have an absolute number. When I looked at TVDBs forums and tried to edit the information myself. It was shown that they will likely not allow this change to be added.

So I’d like to know if the Devs can possibly help me out with some sort of alternate query or absolute number exception for this show. There’s over 1000 episodes with new episodes every week. I’d really like Sonarr to help.

Assuming they’re both anime, the mappings and/or alternative names need to be added to thexem.de

Thexem support: easiest to ask in their IRC channel.

See, that’s the thing. Kamen Rider isn’t an anime. It’s a Tokusatsu which is a live action show like power rangers. As for FLCL I think Thxem is already properly set for it.

Okay Kamen Riders seasons are fixed. But now we’re hitting an issue. TVDB doesn’t have absolute numbering for the series and is unlikely to change that. So when Sonarr goes to check for the episodes it’s hitting a hard error of “[v2.0.0.5228] System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Can not search for Kamen Rider - S28E01 it does not have an absolute episode number”

If I change the series to a standard it would fail because it wouldn’t ping Nyaa, and there is no Kamen Rider SeasonXXEpisodeXX.

I have thexem fixed up, now it should help Sonarr look for Kamen Rider Build instead of 28. But it won’t get past the numbering error.
