Can't manual import episode because of airing discrepancies

Sonarr is functioning fine but because of some episode airing and label discrepancies at TVDB, it’s having issues labeling and importing episodes.

Fashion Police S16E05 has been aired and it’s the 2017 Academy Awards Special. This is correctly recorded at TMDB.

However, TVDB previously recorded the season up to E04 and mislabelled it as the Academy Awards Special when it’s really the NYFW episode. I’ve since registered an account to fix it.

Because of this, Sonarr wrongly reports S16E04 as the Academy Awards Special.

So I’m trying to do the following:

  1. In Sonarr, re-label S16E04 as the NYFW episode. Can Sonarr let me fix this manually?

  2. Manual import the latest S16E05. Sonarr is still telling me “invalid season or episode”. Will it eventually connect to TVDB and pull the information I corrected?

Relabel it how? Sonarr will only use information from TheTVDB (and alternate numbering from thexem.de).

You won’t be able to import it into Sonarr until it knows about the episode. Sonarr will learn about it when the series is refreshed after our TVDB cache (Skyhook) is updated, which is 15 minutes for TheTVDB cache to update and up to 1 hour for Skyhook to clear it’s cache and update.

Thanks very much for your detailed reply, helped me understand better how this works.

Hope I’ve done enough that Sonarr will pull the right information and import the episode.
