Sonarr version (exact version): Phantom Develop 3.0.1.374
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
Debug logs:
Description of issue: Won’t install.
I had a good working Sonarr installation on a Windows 7 Pro pc for four years then suffered a data loss and the backup didn’t work. Did a re-install on a new Hard drive and install of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I’ve set up SAB at 38080 and intend to set up Sonarr at 38082. I installed as a windows service but the program won’t open at localhost:8989 or at any other so far.
I have a static IP and network setup is good. SABnzb works well.
CAVEAT: I am assuming V3 on Windows follows the same install pattern as V2. I run on Linux, so…
Asking the easy questions first . Did you:
- Run
NzbDrone.exe
once as administrator to register the port and URL with Windows (Required for remote access)1- Manually start Sonarr by running
Nzbdrone.exe
orServiceInstall.exe
to install Sonarr as a Windows service.- Open http://localhost:8989 in your browser
1 The port will be opened on the firewall (if enabled) for the private profile only, if you’re connected to a domain or a public network the port will not be opened automatically, but can be done so manually.

Even if you did, try it again anyway . Then after you run the Service Installer (as the second step), make sure the service actually started. Being windows, a reboot wouldn’t hurt, and making sure that your antivirus/security suite isn’t silently blocking it would be good as well.
