Can't add a particular series to ND

I am trying to add a new series called The Tunnel (TVDB ID:274065). The problem is that there is another entry on thetvdb called The Tunnel (TVDBID: 272936).

I tried to add it via trakt but it keeps adding the one I don’t want. Is there a way around?

How about adding to ND the option to add series using the tvdb ID?

Is the series you want on trakt? Or just TVDB? (if its nor on trakt this scenario is covered in our FAQ, linked right about the Start a New Discussion button: https://github.com/NzbDrone/NzbDrone/wiki/FAQ#why-cant-i-add-a-new-show-to-nzbdrone-its-on-thetvdb).

No plans to add by tvdb id, its work that is better spent elsewhere.

Are you sure you read my post? lol

Trakt has The Tunnel as I mentioned in my post but it is not the same tvdb id. I have tried to add it to trakt based on the tvdb id but it keeps bringing up the 1969 series.

Also, that link has nothing to do with my issue as far as I can tell.

No, it has everything to do with your issue.

The series you want to add is not on trakt, there is a series with the same name, but not the same series, so the series needs to be added.

Seems like trakt has a filter to prevent adding shows with identical names, two possible solutions:

  1. add (2013) to the new series on thetvdb and try the import again
  2. Ask trakt to fix it on their support site: http://support.trakt.tv/

Since trakt doesn’t have this show it wouldn’t even be possible to add it via tvdb id anyways (FYI).
