Cannot import existing series when series is named {Series.Title} basically a DOT replaced spaces

Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):
OS: Ubuntu Server 16.04

Description of issue:

If the top level series directory is named such as “Family.Guy” or “Sons.of.Anarchy”, Sonarr cannot find the series because it’s looking for exact phrase “Family.Guy” in the search in TVdb?

With _ it works but I don’t want to change my whole directory naming to underscore.

Yeah, the search on their API is quite strict, we have plans to address this when we move to the new TVDB API and can do some searching within our own proxy.
