Can sonarr tell when a season ends?

I’m putting this under requests b/c I’m not sure where I’m going yet.

But I was wondering if there is a way for sonarr to know when a season ends, much like how it knows a series has ended?

If so, it might be that some functionality around that could be convenient.

I’d say that Sonarr knowing the season ended is less reliable than the series ended status, since it would be basing that off of the episode information it has and potentially the number of episodes a season, which would break down for mod season cancels, split seaons and inconsistent numbers of seasons.

We talked about showing the finalle on the calendar, but the data isn’t reliable enough to make that commitment we feel.

I now recall that. Ah well, was hoping it had changed. You’d think TVRage/TVDB would be able to start showing that.

Well TVRage is dead (even if they come back they’re pretty much dead).

For TVDB we’d have to trust what people put in there, which is a bit sketchy at times. It’d certainly be nice to have, but we didn’t want something unreliable.

What functionality would you want?

The calendar was mentioned before. I had a couple of fleeting ideas, but they won’t stick around long.

I know it might help w/ archive settings (when season ends, then archives are ok).

Maybe even add a montiored status to start searching for seasonpacks & replace existing w/ seasonpack.

No, tvdb regularly has series on ‘ended’ with the final season episodes still being added as it airs. Even intermediate seasons are tricky, coz the premier of a future season may have already been announced while the current season is still airing.
