The wife and I are HOPELESSLY addicted to Big Brother and for some reason the information on Trakt for the show hasn’t updated since episode 1. So NZBDrone doesn’t know a new episode has aired. TVRage and TVDB have the correct, updated, info. So, is there a way to use one of them instead of Trakt for just this show?
No, that’s not possible. Trakt gets their data from tvdb, they should refresh nightly, but some shows are slower than that (not sure why), if you open a ticket on http://support.trakt.tv/ they should be able to force the refresh, also if you’re a trakt VIP you can force it yourself.
There are many different Big Brother spinoffs, are you sure you have the right one?
Big Brother, 16 seasons already.
Big Brother Canada, 2 seasons.
Big Brother UK, 15 seasons.
Big Brother Australia, 10 seasons.

I’ve got to say that when they’re slow, they’re really slow. I’ve noticed on three different occasions this week that a series was updated on TVDB 48-72 hours before it was finally fixed on Trakt. It seems to me that Trakt just takes that long to update and if it’s faster, it must have been manual. Not that I’d know a proper solution though, since adding a TVDB fallback would only serve to make things more complicated…

How soon after forcing a (VIP) refresh on Trakt would NzbDrone see the update please?
Also, why do you use Trakt and not TVDB direct please?
From the looks of it Trakt has a better API with more specialized requests. I also think their server is faster. I can see why that is being used over TVDB but it is somewhat frustrating that the slightly less popular shows don’t get updated until half a week after an episode’s release unless you put in manual effort.
