Bulk changing quality of existing episodes

Just now, Drone redownloaded an episode of One Piece; apparently the English version of that episode just came out and since it was marked as 720p when my local file was marked as SDTV, it replaced it as per my quality profile. So far, it’s understandable and something I need to deal with myself. For now I have simply unmonitored old seasons.

However: I had imported my files from where Sickbeard put them and because my naming scheme does not include the quality, it had to go by file sizes to determine the quality. And since anime is so much smaller than regular series because of the smaller variation in colors and the fact that an episode is only 20 minutes long, it mistook many 720p episodes for SDTV. Now to change those existing files, I need to click on each episode individually, then click on the quality to make the dropdown show, then actually select the correct quality and close the dialog. Rinse and repeat. This is alright for a couple of episodes, but in my case a lot of them went wrong. I’d like a way to set these wrong quality settings right in bulk, if at all possible.

It’s due to the extension, not the file size, but regardless there isn’t currently a way to change the quality en mass, there is a card on Trello already:

and using media info to detect the resolution for better handling of file names without qualities:

I guess assuming MKV equals 720p makes sense as a quick and dirty default. I’m a bit surprised that avi files are interpreted as SD, but considering you’ve got that last card on your planning doing anything about this would be a waste of time. I’ve got to say, getting the info from the media file itself would definitely be awesome, so I upvoted the ticket and will wait patiently for the awesomeness to happen.

Guess I should spend some more time reading those Trello cards, I missed both of those.
