I think this would be a cool option to have. I tend to regularly check to see which tv shows have been cancelled and then I delete it from my sonarr library. No point to watch a show if it’s cancelled.
I think this is too much to be considered for automation due to these reasons off the top of my head:
- What if the series hasn’t finished all its episodes yet (this happened to a number of series this past fall season)
- Do we remove all the files as well?
- What if someone goes and alters the state on TheTVDB, which propagates down and suddenly the series is removed from Sonarr and the disk (assuming the files are also removed), we’ve seen enough intentional data manipulation there in the past couple months to make this a reasonable case
Well, that’s what I meant. Have the option to as soon as a show is cancelled, delete from sonarr and delete files also. Maybe just me, but even if it’s a show that I like, if the show is cancelled I don’t want to watch one more episode. Why? To me more annoyed the show got cancelled? Lol.
Every show gets cancelled eventually depending on when that is it might get a nice wrap up (a few shows this year did that in their finales).
You can always see that it got cancelled in the UI and opt to nuke it.
Yeah, you do have a point there. I’ll just go that route. Thanks
There have been a couple of recent shows which were flagged as cancelled, which were then renewed. Agent Carter comes to mind.
Really? I never heard of that before. Never mind on my suggestion then! Haha.
