I did an automatic search 4 times for episodes 8, 9 and 10 for Through the Wormhole, season 2 and nothing was grabbed. I then did a manual search and then selected the quality I wanted. Hmm, doesn’t this defeat the purpose of the automatic search when I have the quality set to the same as the manual search that I selected?
Am I missing something here?

Automatic and manual search do the exact same things, except in manual it lets you choose what to download. Manual shows you the reason why that release would have been rejected as well, which is why it wouldn’t have been downloaded with the automatic search. So what was that reason?
It just said that a better quality was available…available where? It was not on the list.
I pointed out the episodes in my first post and it did not find any in automatic search and I don’t have any of those episodes on disk. I am confused.
I also wanted to point out this issue. Have a look at the image. I have to refresh sometimes in order to see the download links.

I gotta read that trello stuff more often.
Thanks for the help

Back on this issue I am having. I don’t think that the issue listed on trello is the same. For example I just tried to grab the whole season 1 of “Cracked” and drone never found it. I then tried each episode using the automatic feature and still no results. I then used manual and then selected the quality I wanted.
In v.1 I never had this problem, all I had to do was to click and away it went. Sorry if I am missing something here.

Logs, rejection reasons, need something to go on. Automatic and manual perform the same searches. Season search does the whole season at once, so it might miss some episodes, but with 100 results from each indexer its usually pretty good.
I will send the logs but it did not miss some episodes, it missed all. I am aware of what each function does but I believe this was the 5th time (series) that it failed completely on downloading the entire season.
It always tells me something about it being rejected but I don’t understand why it would be rejected and what history it is referring to. How can there be a history if there was never an attempt to search for the season before?

Were there any rejection reasons on the manual search? Seems there would have been given the fact the individual search didn’t queue anything.
It says quality rejected by series profile. I am assuming that is because of the quality settings? If so, then it should pick up one of them at least because I list all except Raw-HD and SD.
You sure you have the right profile assigned? I just setup the same profile and season search found and queued all the episodes.
This is the exact profile I used in v.1
v.2:

v.1:

With the exception of 1080p as the cutoff.
I also just did a search for the complete season of Torchwood (season 2) and here are the queued results in SabNzb

is that profile the one assigned to the Cracked series?
And regarding Torchwood, given how the search is done its possible some older episodes could be missed, since there are only 100 results returned, if there are multiple qualities the early episodes are cut out. That is something we will be addressing.
I am at this again. I know all was explained etc but still I am having issues with v.2.
I added “Burn Notice” and as soon as I added it to NzbDrone it grabbed season 6, episodes 1-10. It never did grab episodes 11-18. I had to do a manual search and then one by one as they were found I added them to the queue.
The other issue with this is that for episode 10 it grabbed [HDTV720p], when in fact [WEBDL720p] was available, so this leaves me with the question. Why is NzbDrone ignoring the better quality release, which is setup correctly in my settings?
I have never had any of these issues with v.1 at all so I am really confused here and don’t understand why I have these problems.

What do the log files say?
First clear the existing log files from: C:\ProgramData\zbDrone and then run a search (with trace logging enabled).
Well, I did a search for the name burn notice in the logs but I don’t see anything. I took of trace last night but I’ll put it back on now and try to grab all of season 5 and see what it logs then.
Ok, so I searched for the complete season 5 and it found every one and queued them all up. This still doesn’t explain why it does not work all the time. Also, it grabbed s05e01 as HDTV720p but I just did a manual search and this is available:
772 Burn.Notice.S05E01.Company.Man.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H264-KiNGS
As far as the logs are concerned, I can’t find anything in the Today Logs, with the exception of season 7, which was grabbed except for E08. I had to download it manually.
