I occasionally have TV shows that I’ve downloaded from non-SONARR sources. They RARELY have the correct Season/Episode designation. I would LOVE to be able to select the correct Season/Episode from SONARR, and point to an existing file to link to. My current process is to look it up, and rename the file to reflect correct season/episode.
You can use Manual Import (on Wanted: Missing) to import them which will sort and rename the file into Sonarr’s library.
But the filename has to be correct with series/episode, or am I missing something? I want to be able to select the missing episode from within SONARR, and point to a specific file, so it will rename the file and import it.
No it doesn’t need to be named properly, you select the folder where the file is and then select the series, season, episode and quality and then import it. The process is different than what you’ve proposed, but the end result is the same.
OK, I get it. The problem I have is that I have 695 missing/wanted and it takes a while to sift through them to find what I’m looking for.
You don’t need to sift through anything… Click on the Manual Import button and use that (its a separate feature thats linked from that page).
But then how do I associate this mis-named file to the correct series/season/episode?

When I click on IMPORT, I get the error; Series must be chosen for each selected file.
You need click the area under the series column and select it and then the season and finally the episode. Its definitely not as clear as we want it to be and will be improved upon.
