Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.4427 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): OS: Win Server 2012 Debug logs: http://pastebin.com/GHceCdwF (Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings and post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar, do not post them directly here) Description of issue:
Avistaz only works by ‘showname E##’ format
e.g Blow Breeze E34, so obviously sonarr can’t find it when i try to search it
because it always adds S## after show title
“Blow Breeze S01E34”
I tried all 3 series type and none worked
Sonarr can handle the parsing of this (treats it as a mini series), as long as the episodes are part of season 1 it should work fine. If they’re not it may be a problem to determine how to process the releases.
Are these series maintained well enough on the TVDB that supporting this format would actually work?
So there’s no way to make sonarr grab those serials?
I read somebody on other thread managed to grab running man but he doesn’t explain how…
PM’d him but no reply
AFAIK, the only reliable tracker for asian tvshows for me is avistaz.to, and the format that always works in avistaz search is
tvshow_title E##
e.g :
Running Man E435
Infinity Challenge E421
The Legend of the Blue Sea E13
It works that way in jackett too.
So they seem to disregard season numbering.
If so perhaps the solution is to have an option to not include season number?
But for this one i think it’s because absolute numbering is different with seasonal numbering,.
Any workaround for this kind of issue? I heard thexem or something for anime
The numbers after episode number is airdate… i dont think thats the cause because several other shows are also using that and grabbed correctly,
e.g : running man, hwarang, night light
Searched for weekly idol in all 5 log files, but this is all i found

Roughly 4 hours ago this is released in avistaz and it’s not grabbed
Weekly Idol E285 160111 720p NEXT
If it’s the airdate numbers… then how come running man with the same format is grabbed?
this was grabbed :
Running Man E333 170108 720p NEXT

17-1-11 22:10:48.1|Debug|QualityParser|Trying to parse quality for Weekly Idol E285 160111 720p NEXT
It looks like it’s parsing it as an absolute episode number, which E285 of Weekly Idol does not have. Running man worked because there is an episode with absolute episode number 333.
This is a similar issue to anime episode naming
e.g : one piece, gintama
Thetvdb is hesistant to put absolute number because probably they havent found reliable source
I will try to request this in their forum
But i think it’s also better to have custom search format cause release names can vary…
such as this one
Searching is only part of it, Sonarr would still need to be able to parse it to figure out with series and episode it belongs to and the support for it would probably not be simple either, since people could enter anything they wanted.
How are they hesitant? Anyone can add it, as long as it makes sense it should stay.
That’s an awful name, but not unlike anime that has different titles per season, so having that series title linked to season 6 would be fine.
