I get some files that add [rarbg] at the end of the filename. I’d like to strip those out but I don’t want to use the renamer because that might cause problems, even if I do try to keep the structure the same, I can’t be certain all files will coem that way. I doubt there is but any way to do that?
No you can’t.
What type of problems do you foresee running into?
I didn’t think so. It’s not so much that I foresee running into problems, I just don’t like making assumptions. I like to keep the original file names as it makes sharing and a number of other things easier. That’s the reason I want to remove “[rarbg]” in the first place and if I use renamer to rename the file with “[rarbg]” excluded, I’m making an assumption that everything will be in that naming format. It usually is but again, assumptions. It’s just me being very particular is all. I’ll try using a script.
