I"m running Sonarr version 2.0.0.4409 on Windows 10 (intel Nuc) and have pointed the downloads to a WD Nas. I’ve tried some trouble shooting of not running Sonarr as a Service, Right-clicking on the Complete/Incomplete folders and changing permissions on the Security tab but those haven’t helped.
For the life of me, i can not get anything to import. It doesn’t sort episodes into their series folders and does not rename anything.
I’ve tried to do everything i can on my own, some help would be appreciated.
I just played around with Drone Factory and it seems to be working (renaming files and putting them in their correct season folder). Is this going to be my best solution?
I haven’t played around with it too much but i noticed now i’m getting this error:
Couldn’t import episode Y:\Television\complete…(show title): Episode file path does not exist
i figure this is due to drone factory renaming the file. Is this correct? I can submit another debug file if need be.
Could be related the the ((FAQ)) entry regarding Mapped Network Drives (assuming Y:\ is a network drive). Othtierwise yes, debug logs (and something that is waiting to be imported would be helpful).
Holy crap, i just had to deactivate drone factory. whatever it was doing, it downloaded 178gb of duplicate shows (there was 58 copies of one episode)…shiiiiiiiit!
So back to the task at hand, yes Y: is a network drive and i had to go into the service manager and disable sonarr (i think it was listed as nzbdrone), because it would not allow me to enter a network drive (using Y: or \wdmyclould…), after deactivating it, and throwing a shortcut in the startup menu i can enter a network drive.
Here is another debug file. I’m not quite sure how to capture one that has something that is waiting to be imported, but this has one that recently downloaded an episode and the log says the same “Import failed…” error.
Drone Factory doesn’t download, it only imports files.
16-12-14 20:47:32.3|Error|DownloadedEpisodesImportService|Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: Y:\Television\complete\Street.Outlaws.S06E07.Stuck.In.A.Moment.iNTERNAL.720p.HDTV.x264-DHD-Obfuscated\
Is there a folder with that name that you can see via Windows Explorer?
It’s really only one of two things, the folder doesn’t exist or it exists and Sonarr doesn’t have access to it. If Sonarr and your download client aren’t on the same machine using a Remote Path Mapping may be required.
I understand that drone factory just imports the files, but i thought that it may be deleting the file and sonarr is re-downloading them because its missing. who knows…
Yes, that folder “Y:\Television\complete” does exist, and i can view it in windows explorer. I’m not sure what else to try with changing the permissions. I’ve right clicked on the network drive and on the “\complete” folder and made sure full access is granted. I also went into the gui of the nas (WD MyCloud DL4100) and there is full access for the network drive. I’m at a loss.
When i get home i’ll try to play around with the file path. Where exactly in the settings should i be changing it?
Does the subfolder exist as well?
In Sonarr if you attempt to set the Drone Factory Folder, if you use the file browser can you browse to that path?
In Sonarr, probably nothing, but it depends on the setup of your environment.
Are Sonarr and the download client on the same machine? or is the download client on the NAS?
Are you asking if “Street.Outlaws.S06E07.Stuck.In.A.Moment.iNTERNAL.720p.HDTV.x264-DHD-Obfuscated” is a sub folder within “Y:\Television\complete”? If so, then no. There is a sub folder named “Street Outlaws”
I set the drone factory i believe i was able to browse to the folder but not 100% sure, i can check tonight. I may have copied the location of the \complete folder from windows explorer and pasted it into the Drone Factory file path.
Yes, Sonarr and Sabnzbd are on the same machine (intel NUC). I’m just using the NAS as mas storage.
Your download client is telling Sonarr there is a folder named that ready for import, either it’s reporting the wrong path or a Remote Path Mapping is translating it to the wrong path.
If sorted and unsorted files are in the same place you should change where your download client puts completed files to keep them separate and avoid any conflicts in the future.
Where does SAB put completed downloads? For TV you could keep it local and Sonarr would move it to the share.
I have 2 files in “Y:\Television” a “complete” and an “incomplete”. Sab has “incomplete” as the Temporary download folder, and “complete” as Completed Download Folder
Remote path mapping path should be the complete folder or incomplete?
Right now since i’ve turned off Drone Factory, it is putting the incomplete files (they have "UNPACK"infront of the episode folder), in the Complete folder. I’ll try mapping the Incomplete folder locally on the NUC, and see how it goes. What should remote path mapping be set to?
A 3rd, unsorted folder would be advisable so SAB drops them off in one place and Sonarr moves them to the completed folder, or have the incomplete and unsorted locally and Sonarr will move it to the NAS.
Neither. You don’t need it at all of SAB and Sonarr are on the same system.
Again, you do not need a Remote Path Mapping if SAB and Sonarr are on the same machine (which you have said they are), delete it and stop trying to use it, but no, the incomplete folder is not correct.
Manual Import (From Wanted: Missing) would be the easiest.
Thanks.
I’ll empty the remote path mapping. I was trying different combination trying to get the sucker to work.
When i get home, i’ll put the file path for the catagory to a “unsorted” folder on my local machine.
So,Sab will download to that “unsorted” folder and when done move it to the complete folder where sonarr will rename and put it in the correct series folder?
Did you see any red flags in the debug log? I’m not seeing the “import failed…” error.
Yes, exactly. You should also keep the incomplete folder local so SAB doesn’t need to copy it across the network as it’s downloading (and after it’s complete).
Well i’ve moved everything local except for the final complete folder. This seems to be the trick, i’m not getting the errors i was before and sonarr is moving them to the correct folder.
