Am I over complicating things?

Seedbox(Remote Server)>Syncthing(Remote Server)>Sonarr(Local sever)>Plex

Looking for some guidance. I just recently purchased a seedbox and i’m trying to get the file from the remote server to my local media server. I started off with Syncthing. This is moving the files from a completed folder on the seedbox to a download folder on the local server.

Since I’m doing this Sonarr doesn’t see the files that are downloaded and I have to manual go in and move the files from the competed folder to their represented folders (TV Shows or Movies then into the show and season), And then I have to map them to the show and refresh.

Is there a better way to have something do this so Sonarr does what it’s suppose to do?
How are other people setup?

Logs seem to indicated that because the folder is not there prior to it moving it’s failing. How do we overcome this.

Use a Remote Path Mapping to tell Sonarr where to look for the files after syncthing has completed the transfer, which you can do one of at least two ways.

  1. Have syncthing copy things to a folder and after the files are downloaded locally move them to the folder Sonarr has mapped for your remote folder
  2. Make sure syncthing changes the file extension while transferring files, so Sonarr doesn’t see them as video files until they are completely transferred.
