I’ve been running NZBDrone for a while and love it! So much better than Sick Beard or alternatives! I’ve got a quick question about an issue I’m having, please…
I have many shows monitored. About half are downloaded automatically upon release. For the ones that don’t, they are listed in my “Wanted” list. The issue is, I can manually search for one near the top of my Wanted list, find it, and download it. Some of these were never attempted to download and some had failed downloads.
It seems that new episodes for monitored shows aren’t automatically downloaded after a certain time period. It may be that it’s not retrying failed downloads, but I have tried many different configuration settings for failed downloads.
One more small issue if it makes a difference, about 1-2 times a week, I get an episode stuck in Activity in red text. If I remove it from Activity, it remains. Only after a few hours will it disappear - regardless of it’s state in SABnzbd.
Which OS? If Linux/OS X which version of mono?
Which version of Sonarr?
If you do a manual search within Sonarr are all the releases marked with a reason why it wasn’t grabbed?
Do you leave Sonarr on 24/7, or does the computer its on go to sleep?
Failed downloads will trigger a search (by default), but if a better release isn’t available it will need to be picked up off the RSS feed from your indexers when its released (the same process that grabs it initially).
How are you removing it from Activity?
The queue within Sonarr is built off of SAB’s queue and history, if enough items go into SAB’s history (30 items), or if you remove it from SAB then it will fall out of Sonarr’s queue. The queue will show you why it wasn’t imported.
Overall without debug log files showing why a release was grabbed automatically its tough to say whats causing it, searches ignore some states that would prevent an automatic grab from happening (monitored status, previous grab wasn’t marked as failed or imported, plus a couple more).
