Advise Plex Media Server to rescan TV on Sonarr Deletes (in addition to new downloads)

When Sonarr processes a new download, I have it setup to instruct Plex Media Server (PMS) to rescan TV. This works perfect and new episodes are available via Plex immediately.

But, when I delete a series (from disk) via Sonarr, it does not appear that Sonarr tells PMS to rescan TV. This leaves deleted shows/series available to Plex clients until I manually rescan TV via PMS.

If Sonarr sent the library rescan to PMS on deletes as well, I think it would make this more seamless.

Thanks

You can sort this by changing library settings in Plex server.

Can’t recall the exact option right now but it’s something like scan when changes detected in folder.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of the “update library when changes to library folders are detected” feature. The problem with that is it only works if your media is local to your PMS server. My media is stored on a couple NAS devices on my lan while my PMS is installed to a VM on my ESXi server.

Sorry. I actually just thought of this after my reply and assumed your media was stored on the same local drive.

Would be a nice feature alright and assume it wouldn’t be too difficult to implement for others like yourself who use a network location.
