Adding new series/refreshing existing -> banners/images not downloading

Hi,

I’ve had Sonarr for a while now and everything was setup properly. I wanted to add a new show but for some reason Sonarr is unable to download the banners/posters for new and existing shows (removed Mediacover folder as a test).

TheTVdb is perfectly reachable via the device where Sonarr is installed on, I can reach and download the banners/posters manually by visiting the links shown in the logs but for some reason Sonarr times-out when downloading these images.

I’m getting the following for example:

Can you open those images in your browser?

If you’re using a VPN try disabling it as in some cases CloudFlare/TheTVDB will block it, otherwise the issue may be temporary, but isn’t something that we can fix as its another service that’s not returning the images.

ok I feel so stupid now. LOL!

I had put the old thetvdb.com IP adress in my /etc/hosts file because some previous issues reaching the site.

Turns out they have a new IP adress for a while now and my NAS was still looking for the old one.
Of course it wouldn’t work! duh.

I should have checked that earlier.

I only stumbled upon it after i compared the nslookups and ping results from my PC and NAS that I saw the difference in IP adressed :).
