I currently use a number of different system utilities (logwatch, logrotate, various cron jobs, etc) to manage drone so that it doesn’t get too “out of hand”… But it would be awesome if the ability to do self-cleanup was implemented. Something like an option to “Automatically delete old backups (older than X days)” and likewise for old log files.
Just a thought/suggestion.
Keep up the great work! Your product blows the competition out of the water!
Sorry Markus. I wasn’t concise enough and should have worded that differently. I am aware that drone already handles auto-cleaning - which is great. But it would be nice to have the ability to change the number of days those things are kept around, know what I mean? Personally, I don’t see the need to keep backups laying around for 28 days, especially being on the develop branch where there are sometimes 2 or more updates a day.
It’s not a huge deal. I already have a cron job set up to take care of it on my system. It was just a thought I had that it would be nice to be able to control what drone keeps around from within the app, rather than having to resort to external options… Or another thought would be to have it be based on the number of backups/files, instead of the number of days…
Thanks and no worries if this isn’t something the developers aren’t interested in looking in to.
