Recently I have had lots of issues with fake files on Usenet
what would be good is the the ability to verify that the file that has been downloaded is a video using FFProbe and then transcode the video into a single format using FFMPEG before it gets imported into the media library
AFAIK nzbToMedia does this already. drone already use media info to check the runtime of the file before importing, which will reject files that the runtime can’t be determined for.
Transcoding is unlikely as it would block drone from doing anything else during that window.
TL/DR: Not likely something we’ll add to drone and not in the near future for certain.
