I have Sonarr set-up to copy and rename files to my TV directory. How do I stop it doing so for certain shows? I don’t watch some of them but still want them downloaded for family members.
I guess this is related to the above. How do I stop sonarr from monitoring my TV folder. When a show has finished downloading and its a show I don’t watch, I move it elsewhere but then sonarr does what it does(which is mostly awesome), and thinks the shows is missing and so fetches it for me again. I generally have to go to the “missing” page and unmonitore it
Is there also anything I can do to allow sonarr to monitor an RSS feed? The feed I have added comes up as “search is not supported in this indexer”. Which is frustrating as the RSS feed has shows which sonarr isn’t able to find for me.
There’s no way to stop Sonarr moving and renaming select shows though, in theory, you could use some post-processing scripting to move those files back to … wherever. Also, remember that it’s possible to have different shows located in different root folders so, while they would still be moved and renamed, you could separate your shows into two distinct areas on your drive(s) this way, if you feel that would be helpful.
The “Ignore Deleted Episodes” option tells Sonarr to stop monitoring an episode if you delete or move it. Settings -> Media Management tab -> Scroll down to File Management.
Edit: Try @Mirx_NL’s solution below, first (I misread the question). But if it still doesn’t work: Try testing the feed with the “Allow zero size” option turned on. If that still isn’t supported then the only option I know of is the 3rd party addon, Jacket, which may work for your feed (or the Jacket developers may be able to add it easily). I don’t use Jacket, but it’s a frequent topic on these forums.
So I just go through all the shows I don’t personally want and redirect them to a different folder? That folder will be being completely removed from my laptop once sonarr has worked its magic. Will that cause any problems?
The setting to ignore deleted episodes is actually already enabled so don’t know why I’m still having the issue.
You should need to wait long, it runs every minute, but it should treat the files as missing from the download client folder and show in Sonarr’s queue as such.
With a custom post processing script you could do it.
Thanks for all the help everyone. I definitely have a better understanding of things work now and am well on my way to being more organised.
Edit. Another quick question
Regarding a specific show. Sonarr is looking for episodes numbered 1x35, 1x36 etc but the episodes on this given show are appearing as “2015 11 17” and so on in the search, and so, its reporting it as “wrong season”. Anyway to fix this issue?
