After running SABnzbd for quite a log time I thought I should look at automating TV Downloads. The obvious choice was Sick Beard, but after looking on the SBBnzbd forums I noticed NZBDrone and the feedback for it - I thought I would give it a go.
What a good decision that was - a very very impressive bit of software and so a massive thank you to Mark for all the work that has gone into this. I well deserved donation will be made over the next few days.

I am now starting to think about automating movie downloads. I understand this is probably being worked on for a future release of NZBDrone, so my question is (which I understand may never be answered) if I am not in a big hurry (i.e. don’t mind waiting a few weeks), should I hold on patiently, or get going and give Couch Potato a try.

Movie support is in the works by another developer, but I’m not when it will make it into drone, because its been a while since we’ve talked. All in progress and upcoming features are here: https://trello.com/b/MadvFKy4/nzbdrone

I’m generally surprised/happy when CP does what its supposed to, as opposed to being mad/confused when it doesn’t since it seems to pick and choose when it will work properly. I don’t think I’m alone in that, but it is a good place for a watch list regardless, for now :slight_smile:
